Trying to install elementaryOS alongside Windows 10 in my Acer laptop. Installation went smoothly but now it is not letting me switch to elementaryOS.

Come on Windows 10 (or maybe Acer), just let me use Linux already.

It's not like I am cheating on you! (or maybe I am)

    Did you change your bootloader from default to the grub?

    @SheShell after researching for a bit, it seems that grub hasn't been installed ;____;

    I didn't know that I have to install it separately or maybe I did it wrong :/

    Or maybe just updating it would do.

    Strange, usually Grub is automatically installed correctly. But you can just (re)install it anytime after booting Linux(maybe from a USB drive).

    @tsukiouji I beleieve before UEFI one could boot to the drive directly no GRUB interface needed. Now you need to install it on the Windows drive, then boot to this drive where on bootup you can select the os.

    After lots of tinkering it finally works! I had to do bcedit in windows so grub is prioritized over windows boot loader. Linux here I come
