plusgut60137yIn my experience certificates are useless. Do some actual work with $thing and you know more about it.

@plusgut
I'm not getting a ceritificate just for the record. I'm gettimg it beacuse I use aws in my projects and want to have proper knowledge and recognition -
plusgut60137y@Chlodovechus read the docs and use aws. You'll learn more this way. And you have something real to show of.
Only HR people care about certificates, I wouldn't want to work in a corporation who values certificates>practise -
I want a Docker cert, but I dont use docker beside the basic functionality. Also going for aws certification.
-
Don't have any, and I was able to get a good offer regardless. Although I did read through the A+ book while I was working in IT for my university.
-
plusgut60137y@ArchLinux but what is the benefit, instead just doing it without the certificate?
Without it you can persue the topics of $thing completly freely.
With a certificate you have to do the topics somebody else decided are important. -
plusgut60137y@ArchLinux i don't want to work in companies who care about certificates. Companies where employees are involved and decide based on actual experience is superior.
-
plusgut60137y@ArchLinux hm, in my field of experience, companies have to compete to get me, to work for them.

@theScientist
Yeah, it's actually a really good cert that teaches you the inner workings of mongo and how to develop efficiently with it -
moagggi7817y@plusgut Junior Dev 😂 alias Informatikkaufmann mainly writing VBA, C# and JS doing Macros, Win32 and Node.js server/JS extensions for Sharepoint at work 👌 What are you doing?

bedoorn05yI would focus on something as get all certifications. That makes you an expert.
