    Seems someone just listed their stack. These are mostly good technologies, but none of them is a true must. They all have a lot of alternatives, and I'd say some are way better.

    How about dependency management? I can't imagine my workflow containing downloading zips and keeping them somewhere.

    Same for automated testing, semver, and deploy scripts

    -A java ide, anything is fine, just need it to compile the code and archetypes
    -git, or even svn
    -ddg
    -javadoc

    - GCC
    - urxvt
    - brain
    - git
    - coffee!!! (Everybody forgot)

    - Git

    The rest of the stack is dependent on the project. backend, frontend, gamedev, webdev, application dev. All require different tools.

    @octogato up until a few weeks ago i didnt even know what the fuck is redis, so id say its not mandatory for software development
