    You have probably the sync to iCloud enabled. So every photo you take is backed up in the cloud.

    If it's like Google photos you should be able to turn off cloud sync over data.

    actually on android thats wifi only by default and stars to upload only while charging (not big android fanboi, but i like these default settings)

    @Tommy314 yes I think you're right actually. It's so seamless I don't even notice it. Only time I have to do anything is when I'm on holiday and try to upload manually whenever I can and WiFi is often sketchy.
