Not Another Gaming Rant!

In gaming, the keyboard and mouse is far superior to a console controller.

So much so it's almost like cheating, gamers are beginning to notice this on the X-Box where traditionally all players in a game would only use a controller.

Now that console players are up against mouse and keyboard players they are out matched and out maneuvered, a great example of this can be seen in live multiplayer Call of Duty games such as Infinite Warfare where the keyboard warrior will spend more time in the air effortlessly jumping from wall to wall gaining an advantage over their opponent.

Multiplayer games should always be evenly matched providing players the ability to compare their level of skill in a competition on a level playing field.

But who is going to console the console players? And why does Skyrim have the command console on the PC, but not on the console?

Also, some games on console work with keyboard and mouse. Just not advertised. My son plays Ark on console with keyboard and mouse. Skill issue.

@Demolishun Call of Duty games allow PC gamers to complete against console gamers now, I've been hearing that it has been a disaster.

The X-box one series has compatible keyboard and mouse options, I don't know how anyone can play Age of the Empire type games with a controller...

Infinite warfare and the future warfare type games is like playing Quake 3.

It's all Mad, It's Mad I tells ya!

Console has aim assist, which I see as an evil necessity.

The thing is, preventing console players from playing with KbM against controller players, which games like overwatch already do (if they detect you using KbM, which is trivial, they match you with PC players)

lol all I'm hearing is Microsoft killed Xbox then, by making cross platform computer and Xbox stuff

    PC master race bitch

@jestdotty I know people who moved over from the PC to the console and they are not amused. lol

Everytime cross platform parity happens everyting is stripped down on PC to be able to run on console.

The PC always suffer when game company want Feature parity with console. Content cuts, map splits(loading screen).

Also gamepad has only a limited amount of Buttons available, requiring either Button combo or multi assignment to be able to support the vast amount of Keys available with a keyboard!

Consoles are for people who can't afford a decent pc anyway right? Can't imagine playing for fun or even serious with a controller. It's maybe fun that you can drive slow in racing games and stuff, but even for racing I would prefer keyboard. Fifa could be exception. That's fine on controller I guess

@retoor Co-op games are pretty good with the right people and zombies is fun to play on the X-Box with a controller. Do you play any console games?

@bazmd I don't game anymore since call of duty 2

@bazmd I did do some serious mapping tho regarding cod UO. My level was really popular since it was smol and good to use on bad connections. It was a small village with a lot of alleys and there was a church in the middle with a mg42 on top of it. People who wanted to show off & get attention used it. It was for 6 - 12 players. Me and my brother hosted often a network event. More people than pc's resulting in everyone on everyone's computer and if you're not playing you're having a beer. I had the honor repairing half of the computers people brought before they were able to play a game. Also, some pc's had to run it in low resolution. Ut2004 on the other hand - programmed very well, that game runs on everything with nice graphics. They should create a gaming engine.

This was my story. Thanks for listening

I think gamepad input is unrefined and clunky. I don't know why this is or how to fix it, if I did I'd probably be rich already, but gamepads aren't even close to a solution that allows both precise aiming and wide spins. I don't know if anyone tried defining movement on one input and aim as a relative offset on a separate input.

I have tried a couple of times (EDIT: as in given it a proper go to learn how) to play CoD with a controller. I have no idea how people manage to get used to that in FPS, but they do.

    One of life's mysteries.

    >Multiplayer games should always be evenly matched providing players the ability to compare their level of skill in a competition on a level playing field.

    they are.

if the player decides to use shit-tier input devices, than that's their choice.

just like it would be their choice if they lose at the game because they want to play using their feet instead of their hands.
