I always feel the people who post hate about Java are .Net Developers and then I like to think they are also the ones who complain about Windows just so I can have that moment of irony.

From the outside, watching C# and Java devs argue about each other's platforms is like watching two identical twins squabble over who's cleverer.

Work at a .NET house and can confirm this.

If you want to annoy them: There's a benchmark floating around about which language (backend web) is the fastest and can receive the most concurrent requests.

Guess which one is #1 and which one isn't 😁

I am a .Net senior dev but in a large bit of irony I learned Java in college. I honestly think they are more similar than different when it comes to language. The real difference is in the tools and available libraries. That being said with .Net core, it can handle 5million web requests per second, so beat that java 😉

@manFrame no need, erlang can handle more than that on its own and still be scalable :P

I like both of them and find most Java hate unwarranted.
