I've been working on an medieval fantasy MMORPG called The Immortal Rift with a small team of developers from all around the world and we plan to start a closed beta before going on Early Access on Steam next month.

So I finished the pre-registration page a few days ago and I'd like to invite any of you that have some time to try it out :D

Hey this looks great! I would test it, but neither do I have a PC with enough power nor do I like gaming.
But I would like to hear more about it. How have you and your team met? What is your part in developing this game?

I found another team on a website and we started working in a mobile rpg game but then the team got disbanded after the group leader got a car accident and dissapeared.
Then one of our level designers told me about this MMORPG project he was working on with another team and that they needed a programmer to help with the networking so I joined the team. I've been working on the networking architecture, I'm designing and will implement soon a new scripting engine for the server that will eliminate downtime for patches and a distributed anti-cheating system that will use just a small amount of power of afk players to ensure the best gaming experience for everyone.I also made the website you can see on the link (it doesnt work exactly as it should in mobile yet but I will work on it soon), I will add many new features and I also work on an admin panel for the whole game (including analytics and GM tools).I also design the games db

@Kamaropoulos hold on, you say that AFK players will be used to detect cheaters? That sounds like a cool idea, I would never thought about that.

@blem14 yeah, I got a little bit into cryptocurencies lately and I thought hey, why not distribute some of the anti-cheating computation in the way mining does? This way it would be both secure and reliable for a good amount of afk players. It could even be awarding for them too, like doing afk tasks or whatever :P

@blem14 I mean, it's not that easy having to run everything on the server as an indie game, tight budgets and stuff :P

Looks good. While i subjectively think that pvp is almost as fun as putting my hand in a toaster, i wish you luck and success, because it looks like you created an online game that actually works, and that is impressive.

I would love to try something new, because i am not able to choose a game. i am always reading user experiences to much and sooner or later decide no to try ...

so going with something entirely new would be great - just sad that i can not try this one. I am not on Win :(
