You fucking bet it will -.-

Come on Microsoft, even installing the whole OS doesn't take this long. I got time to waste, and you're doing just that in the worst way possible.

God dammit

Do you have any other pics. High resolution, with filters, different angles....etc?

I noticed the same, it's faster to download the latest .iso, burn it on a DVD, and install the OS again (maintaining the files), than updating.

@intromatt I don't want to upset Android with pics of Windows... It might get jealous or make fun of me, one or the other

An hour and fifteen minutes later.

    Finally, it's over.

Edit: Never mind, after reaching 100% and rebooting, I still gave to wait as "This might take several minutes"

Windows 10 has got to be sending more people over to Linux than just the allure of an Open Source OS.

I never understood how windows updates and why it takes so much time, I mean i update my Ubuntu but it doesn't take that much time

I'll update my Windows 10 machine WAY faster than your Ubuntu machine 99 times out of a 100.

The fast ring update on my 5 year old MacBook (pretty much a compete OS install) didn't take more than 10 minutes last Friday.

Windows posts on this site are just troll posts from computer illiterate people or from people who still have floppy and CDROM drives plugged into their machines. @py2js

@intromatt no offense intended here. I really don't know what it does under the hood. Also 99/100 can never be true. I used win 10 and it takes ages to update also no option to disable the update completely. If you see clearly people rant about Linux distributions also. No one is against your precious your windows or Mac. We have our preference and everything depends upon your personal opinion

    Absolutely but let's stop lying.

Windows 10 restarts and updates in minutes.
You can easily defer updates to your liking or disable them...

Unless you have a broken system (hardware?) or a 12 year old computer full of malware (left over from an old Windows 7 install) then you'll almost never have any issues. @py2js
