    I'm not a teenager but I'm still single. If a woman ever decides to interact with me, it's the first and only time. I'm terrified by flirting, don't like small talk and am not attractive, physically at least.

    Nope. Regardless of what people usually think. Being a developer does not affect your social life. At the end of the day, you decided what your social life is like. Be funny, attend parties, go out with friends, and don't be weird.

    As @PhilWerman said, you need to put an effort into it.

    Carry on dude!
    Being smart might not be something young girls appreciate enough. Though if you play it right, you'll have some side effects that will come handy on the long run 😏

    I went out with quite a lot of girls before getting into programming. Now it's just hard to get out.

    Well too bad, legends say my crush hates me for being engrossed in coding and not putting my attention towards her.

    If you're a dev, I assume that you're smart. You just have to find a person who is as smart as you. And not necessarily in the same field. At least that worked for me. I think that people can't be together properly if they are not on a similar intellectual level. That's just how i see it.

    Oh just leave the keyboard during the weekends and start hanging out so you meet new people

    @rezn0v
    Sounds like child's play. Teenage relationships are like that. You can play along and gain experience but you don't need to, the world won't end.

    Don't make yourself crazy about it, but also don't isolate yourself. It gets harder to get along with others the more you do it. As part of the job you will need social skills anyway, so build them now.

    @Teabagging4Life I have an ok body. Always been a sports person.

    @kpenc Then the next thing is confidence . If you don't have, fake it 😀 You shouldn't be afraid to get rejected. If there is a thing you should be afraid of, that is being accepted, cause that's when the game and the effort begins! But the rewards are good enough to overcome the fear, I believe. Also, overthinking kills.
