I am doing a diploma right now. Current module is called "website design using Dreamweaver".

And the lecturer be like "Dreamweaver is the best IDE"

Oh I see, your hobbies include wasting money on things nobody uses anymore. But seriously, man why would you choose a course like that?? Just why!!

This is one of the reasons I dropped out of my degree.

It was all far too theoretical, and academia seriously lags behind industry.

Better served these days by other learning avenues like online courses and getting some experience under your belt.

The industry (and jobs in general) are getting seriously oversaturated by people with degrees, outdated knowledge and no experience.

Make yourself stand out 👍

@Aitkotw in my country a certificate has more value than anything else when counting for a promotion.

I've tried online courses, they didn't work for me. I graduated from college with honours. I needed a teacher and peers. Different people learn differently.

So what is Dreamweaver used for these days?
Visually designing tables and dropping buttons and labels on a website obviously doesn't cut it anymore in 2018.
