joas19427yStarted using i3 a week ago and I love it. No more unutilized space. Needs some time to set things up, but that's part of the deal.

Oh my.. I might use this pic as my wallpaper until I find enough courage to exchange cinnamon to i3.

Tell me, I use vim as well. Though I don't think it beats a good IDE like IntelliJ in efficiency.

@R5on11c i3 and tmux only have similar functionality on the local machine. If you're sshing and need another terminal on that server i3 can't help you, you need another terminal and ssh again. Tmux on the other hand can give you another shell instantly.
I use both tmux and i3, but i manage all my shells in one or two tmux-terminals. If i want to split or layout shells tmux is enough, i don't need the i3-features there. Imo that's what works best -
@R5on11c i always wanted to get into vim, but the learning curve seems to go straight up ^^"
But with nvim i might try it -
urxvt777yTry a different Status bar, it is worth it
Personally i use Bumblebee, but but there are a lot of other good ones around
Oh and also take a look at zsh und ohmyzsh! Theming both ( Status bar and Shell ) the same way makes it a Lot prettier in my opinion -
@Brachacz I can honestly say I have not tried it. And probably won't I'm happy at home now with i3 😁
