retoor45074dI think Fluffernox is my favourite because i would've immediately believe it if someone says it's a real pokemon, it's perfect.
-
Fluffernox looks like it's been taken straight from the cartoon.
The rest kinda look like they could star in the Pokémon Movie.
/* Which I have yet to see. */ -
retoor45074dPicture of retoor, ostream and BoardDev. It's quite accurate since ostream is potrayed as a non-binary and BoardeDev is from South Afrika. It's generated based on chat logs.
-
@D-4got10-01 The movie is alright, I enjoyed it enough at least. I think I watched it in an airplane though 😅
-
Hazarth96174dFluffernox is the only passable one to be fair. And even then it looks like one of those throwaway pokemons that are not really specialist at anything
-
@retoor I was watching from the sidelines.
Didn't feel like interrupting your fun w/ image creation. -
@BordedDev Yeah. I have to catch up w/ some of the movies.
The backlog is getting larger by the release. -
@molaram Definitely...
Provided they want to get themselves in Nintendo's crosshairs, that is.
Would strongly advise against that. -
retoor45074d@D-4got10-01 was @molaram here? I think he's the racist japanese guy. He joined snek once and had a big mouth :P

This might have been interesting before AI was mainstream, but it's just AI slop to me
-
retoor45074d@AlgoRythm this works better than the mainstream shit. Normally would cost money / less quality.
-
@retoor Can't tell a damn difference, and the mainstream crap is even getting rid of the occasional extra fingies.
-
retoor45074d@AlgoRythm you would need the prompt to judge that. And the finger problem is over for long time. But it's very rare still possible.
-
@retoor Nah, AI slop is AI slop, the prompt is irrelevant. Your model has the finger issue.
-
retoor45074d@AlgoRythm also, AI is not mainstream enough yet. There are still a lot of people like you not being able to see the great stuff you can do with it or to know what to use it for.
-
@retoor Everyone knows about AI in America and there are extremely few practical applications outside of an unreliable chatbot and a generator of the world's most expensive bad photoshops.
-
retoor45074d@AlgoRythm exactly, that's exactly what i expected you to say. Meh, you'll find out some day. SOme people are just slow.
Those investments in it, do have a reason y'know. Yeah, it's a crazy amount and probably a mistake for so much, but there are people looking further than you.
Imagine spam filtering, automatic bug finding, the AMAZING autocompletion of codeium for example. Refactoring, translation, transpiling, css design, logo generation. See the amazing Snek logo's. It's impossible to create it myself but now i can!
Sorry dude, the limitation is in you. Buzzkiller.
You don't see AI everywhere, it's working on the background! Most AI you don't see. -
@AlgoRythm You underestimate where it's used. It's not a complete business replacer, but it cuts a large amount of the skill floor in many markets. There is a reason there are industries in the USA protesting its usage so they can keep their job
-
@retoor All you hype train riders say the same thing, but the problems we're having with the current neural tech are core to the platform. We cannot get them to stop hallucinating, it is impossible. The price tag and energy consumption is going to be insane for the foreseeable future.
AI suffers from the last-mile problem and even as the tech ages, the same core issues stand -
retoor45074d@AlgoRythm you're not reasoning yourself. Maybe you should ask an LLM to do it for you. You're blindly telling / copying anti-AI propoganda. The truth is way different if you think for yourself.
The energy costs are sure an issue, but I think 'murica has found a solution for that. But don't forget that the electronics of your phone would've been HUGE buildings years ago.
Besides the energy costs, it's doing well. -
retoor45074d@AlgoRythm what is your argument? That hallucinating is not the case for most appliances. Only for some open human questions, only in chatbots tbh. Also, humans 'hallucinate' more.
But repeat, what argument did you have? And i'm not hyping, i'm using it with success day in and day out and it made life easier and so much faster. The benefits are endless.

Combined some AI technologies using Snek chat leading to amazing prompts and using an amazing image LLM, BordedDev and I generated new Pokemon. The results are amazing. The names are invented by AI too. It understood the pokemon word fantastic. See comments.
