I have the exact opposite happen. Someone tells me they are going to buy a new computer and then want me to spec it all out and give them hardware support after the fact. 🤔
-
@codie-mullins It kinda is a good thing. It means that they trust your opinion. But it can be really anoying sometimes.
-
morgh6828y@claudiofilipe21 : Dammit! You told me to buy this computer and now it doesn't work!
And now you're on the hook for lifetime support. -
@morgh you kinda have a point. But is the same with software.
You deployed this programmed and 2 years later a wild bug appears.
"You build this program and now it doesnt work correctly" -
@ellie how is it sexist? Elaborate and point to a specific rational as to why it's sexist otherwise you're just flaming.
-
@brettmoan @xroad - I believe @ellie is upset at the generalization that women know nothing about technology or possibly that men know nothing about handbags. I personally don't know anything about handbags, but my wife has a gay cousin who knows a great deal about them.
-
xroad23808y@ellie I didn't say women didn't know anything about computers, the comic did. However men REALLY don't know anything about handbags
-
In addition @ellie nowhere in the comic did it say anything about all women... it said whenever someone buys a computer...
