The spammers are going hardcore.

They upvoted their downvoted rants. They did it automated probably, because the rants were not visible on the site anymore.
I downvoted some with the anti-spam bots but they seem to be ip-blocked for downvoting or something. They don't work anymore. Maybe I need a proxy or something..

It sucks, they have such an advantage. Upvoting is easy and unlimited.

Not smart of me posting them here because i'm 100% sure they weren't indexed by google since they're also not part of my site crawled dump made a while ago. So there's nothing linking to that page to be indexed in exception of my rant now.

Yknow... There's no way some random spammers care about dev rant *that* much...

which leaves me to believe the spam is the work of one of us... If I find out which of you fuckers (not necessarily the people in the commends here) are doing this. I'm going to fuckin' find you, and take your server down >:(

@Lensflare he is really able to tough :P He uses snekkie the snekbot in snek :P You just ask that thing politely to downvote a rant by giving rant id :P So far, there was no abuse AFAIK.

@Hazarth it's an exranter for sure, their spam system is sophisticated and it knows very well how to stay under the radar. Commenting older rants and stuff, raping the whole site. The spam posts aren't the worst, you can filter those. It's more the bots that say 'Hello I am Elfo' who suck. How to filter that. Score count + date created under old rant is almost golden hammer tho. But problem is, we can't downvote whatever we want, we are restrained by limits. I will check if my bots work again.

Oh, i know what is going on. The anti spam bots still work, because they also downvote the new spam. The problem are these rants specifically, they were already downvoted before. But they've upvoted it.

I see that people here downvoted all the comments under the rant. They're all gone. Yeah, they only needed two downvotes to disappear. But damn, that was many messages.

@retoor maybe AoK, he seemed mad enough to do that. I think we started getting much more spam around the time he left? I don't think ostream would do it
