hey does anyone here have a idea what website i could build?

i know html/css, js, node.js and looked into express lately and would like to build something bigger but i have absolutly no idea what i can do ^^

Clone Quickbooks or Freshbooks, and eventually you can make money out of it :P

what do the websites do? cant really look at them on vacation right now and internet works only for a few minutes probably

@bada They are accounting software they also have the web version. If you can't make all the functionalities pick 2-3 and implement them.

@bada I use mine for a place to supplement my resume... I occasionally blog about interesting tech stuff and post some of my side projects. It's actuary helped get me interviews in the past!

if you want to build a website without a basic idea what its gonna be about, you probably shouldn't build it. Get the idea first, idea will create problems and you'll learn by solving them.

you can build some kind of "Web portal".
because I need one for my local intranet at home ;))))))

what do u mean by know? u read some sort of text book? in that case u can try to copy the samples, if u already did that try to copy the login and display main page from any major league website, then u understand what is it capabilities, then try making improvement on the work u did and adding cool effects. after that try learn a real backend language and build a web can do CRUD
