Ubuntu has made me go back to Windows again. Every single update broke my PC, cant sign in anymore etc. Even a bootable ubuntu usb didnt see my files anymore...

Wait till Linux Mint 19 release

My issue is that if I start playing in the "Dark Side" I fall down the rabbit hole only to realize I've spent a week customizing my environment, only to realize that there's so much more I can play with. Not necessarily a bad thing but I've become increasingly unproductive in doing so. Something a bit more turnkey, i.e. Mint, makes more sense to me. I second the experience of Ubuntu breaking down nearly every update though.

@andros705 not really. I'm just very distractable, and I like hacking my environment to the extent that it's never done. So I have to moderate myself by limiting the size of my sandbox. 😂
