I can't type at all bud.

It's a pain in the ass but tying to learn only makes me mad because I mess up a lot.

Thats something I dont get. How does one program for 5 years or more (1 if fulltime) and still cant type quickly?

@Codex404 it's cause we think too much cause we don't want to rewrite it, because we are slow Tyler's... It is an endless loop

@IcyTv my typing speed is slowed down by my thinking, but when I dont have to think Im a relatively quick typer.

    Ctrl+Space is your friend.

Try some gaming.. You'll learn it in couple of months

@myss only when playing multiplayer games, and most of the times thats the games without original gameplay. I rather play a fun game.

    Rocket league is an exception.

@myss my life is already gaming

Question, do you look at the keyboard while typing?

@Codex404 can you explain by what you consider original gameplay?

    @BlackByte that's a bit disturbing then, you sure you're doing it right?🤔

@myss either a base mechanic which hasnt been implemented before (or scarcely), a original storyline or a game which really gets to your feelings.

Thats something I rarely see with multiplayer games.

Focus on what you type, create, not on your keyboard, don't even look at it

That's because your IDEs are made by JetBrains, you're just Alt-Enter'ing everything.

I learned to type fast on IRC. I do 320 cpm in QWERTZ even on an shitty keyboard, 400+ on an proper mechanical one (Blue/Black Switches), currently learning NEO 2.0 (The German equivalent of Dvorak).

A decent mechanical keyboard is a miracle and worth every penny. Don't even get me started about rubber domes and laptop style keyboards.

You'll be slower on an mech until you picked it up (and your fingers may hurt if you type a lot), but once you got it, it's heaven on earth.

Oh, and forget any typing trainer programs. They suck, big time. Use Chat, Devrant, IRC. Or start a blog/book. That way, you learn some real world uses AND pick up some language skills and vocabulary.
