Thank goodness I'm not a .NET developer. There's no need to install that huuuuuuge Visual Studio tumor bajesus on my computer.

    Im a dotnet developer and use rider, and vs code (linux)

    Visual studio might be huge but its one if the most out of the box competent ide’s I have seen.

    Most other either are much more narrow in scope or require a lot of plugins to come even close.

    But much of the power is not obvious in a small project or for a new user, it takes some time to find and learn to use it.

    But for a large project with multiple developers and a codebase of 10 years and thousands of files, then many of those features starts to be life saving ;)

    Rider > VS in most cases.

    You can do almost anything with VS

    Since we dont live in 1995 you should not worry about the space on your pc.
    Vs is the most completed ide, if you use it, you never change it.

    @superuser depends on the task, sometimes rider is better, sometimes vs is better
