Basic math class for devvys

Lemme prove that 2 = 1

a = b
a^2 = ab
a^2 - b^2 = ab - b^2
(a + b) (a - b) = b (a - b)
a + b = b
b + b = b
2b = b
2 = 1

Find a place where I got wrong...
And if you fall by this, you should go to preschool again

    Never seen it before and happy I immediately figured it out :)
    (a + b)(a - b) = b(a - b)
    evolves to
    a^2 - ab + ab - b^2 = ab - b^2
    which is
    a^2 = ab
    No way you got a + b = b. You got the invalid result by dividing by 0

    First time i saw this frigg, i spot it instantly in the exact moment it appeared, then i said "oh no holy frigg... Which kind of freak am I?" 😅😂🤣

    (a+b)(a-b) = b(a-b) since here ok but,
    then isn't allowed to divide the (a-b) with the other (a-b)

    Lemme help some people:

    a^2 = a*a

    a^2 = a*a

    a^2 - a^2 = a*a - a^2

    (a+a)(a-a) = a(a-a)

    a+a = a

    a+a = a

    2a = a

    2 = 1

    For anyone who has a hard time with algebra,try plugging in some real numbers. Start with a=1, if you like. If you can't figure it out by the third line...

    @-vim- but in the fourth line you are multiplying a to 0. a(a-a)

    (a-b) = 0 therefore you can't divide by it as you can't divide by zero.
