In Matlab, arrays really do start at 1!!!

    I once wrote a language where arrays did start at 0.5! fite me!

    @-vim- Almost any language is better. I totally wouldn't be using Matlab if it wasn't required.

    No, arrays don't start at 1. They really start at 0 but you just have to add one so that they know you added a positive value. It gets retracted after.
