Client: Why do I need to pay for a website. You're just copy pasting images and text from a word doc.

Me: There is a lot more to it, like code...

Client interupted me before I could finish: Why am I paying you for code I can't see!

Same client told me to "just phone google" to put their site on the 1st search page.

You single answer should have revolved around the fact that your time isn't free and you are charging for just that.

You should have answered with these simple and clear to understand words... Fuck Off!

This client will sap your time. Try to control this client and if you can't might be better to wish them luck and move on to better clients.

Just tell him that he doesn't need house isolation then either. You don't see it right why pay for it? Or a car engine why is that required? You will never see it when you sit in the car.

Just ask him why he hired you in the first place. If it's just copy & paste he can do it himself easily, right?

You can politely decline the job and refer the client to me ;)

    The client isn't always right!!

More often then not, clients should be fired! Like this!

You are selling your time, invest in clients that generate revenue, not consume you and are clearly desinterested.

Even if you did just have to "call Google", have a meeting with client or even paste a Word document they all involve time.

If your client was a serious business he'd know that people's time costs money.

Whatever service or product your client provides ask them if they'd provide it for free.
