Now thats just being a dick.
Unless he predicted everyone will get shitfaced and he wanted your dog to be safe. -
Lutut687y@beggarboy I think he just dislikes dogs ir wants to get all young female employees drunk and flirty... Cannot decide which is it 😂

I hate team building activities. All you get out of it is who are the closet alcoholics and harassers. I am cool not having that knowledge.
-
Lutut687y@georgelynch I wouldn't hate them if it wouldn't be so 'serious adult teambuilding with drinks and flirting'. We could go for a hike or kayaking with our families, pets, kids or whatever. I am quite the troll, so sexual harassment doesn't scare me, but it can be tiresome, boring and annoying
-
Lutut687y@Brosyl not quite straight forward harrassment, but more like very annoying flirting. Usually devs who are good at flirting are already married or have gf. But... there are plenty who are failures at romancing. Failures plus very high nerdiness, daddy jokes and all around over the top awkwardness. And they rarely understand 'no, stop, you are trying wayy to hard, please go away'. Though I haven't flirted with girls, there probably quite the same situation on women part. And when you get all junior devs drinking... well... It becomes more close to sexual harassment than a simply failed flirt. Dealing with it is a pain in the ass, hopefully more figuratively than literally.

Lutut687y@Brosyl Exactly :) But not everyone knows that, therefore I prefare more relaxing ways of teambuilding: hiking, kayaking, camping, etc... With family members and friends. This kind of teambuilding makes everyone talk about hobbies and other stuff than dev dev dev and thare a less chaces of very uncomfortable interactions happening. For more programming based teambuild we already have a two months long mini fun after work dev project.
