    @d14bl0 i jut spotted a mention to it within a cupoflinux, then you mention it :O

    im going to use this as a sign :D

    and welcome to devRant.

    @Floydian i found the "suggestions" in timeline, god i hate the update = opt in to next round of BS.
  • 5
    @Floydian thats true, it is pretty stable.

    and blocking most tracking requests is not easy, they seem to add more from time to time.

    but this lets add even more ads, regardless of whether you want them or not is getting out of control.

    @Floydian I’ve stumbled on that before, I’m not entirely comfortable dropping a host file that big into windows 🤣

    Although some of those lists are covered with Ublock.
  • 3
    @Bl4ck0u7 except i don’t visit or have FileZilla 🤷‍♂️
  • 3
    @Bl4ck0u7 probably not, I don’t use FileZilla.
  • 2
    @C0D4 The timeline is your history. Maybe you typed Filezilla in the search bar and it opened Edge?
  • 3
    @jAsE-Official in edge?
    Now we are getting far fetched. The only time edge is opened is for when windows wants me to know what’s new and I just close it.

    I think I’m missing something, I stopped using FileZilla years ago due to the bad connection dropouts it had, I have no reason to go look at it or even type it in to any browser.

    @Floydian got a link somewhere? Happy to have a look.

    @Floydian I use a lot of things people would probably frown upon 😂

    GDrive is one of them.
  • 2
    @Floydian thanks, done.
  • 3
    @Floydian great going, do some Linux stuff and learn one language and you are a developer already.

    Bloody Timeline everywhere!
  • 1
    @Floydian But it still can't be checked for nasty stuff :/
  • 1
    Wait man, are you an Insider?
  • 2
    @RootPixl release preview for drivers, apps and fixes, aka: the very slow ring.

    Seems more stable then windows (stable) and I don’t deal with the frantic fast ring crashes.
  • 1
    Just checked mine, got no ads at all 🤔
  • 0
    Where do you see the bing ads?
  • 0
    It is your browser history and the second row I thought might be the ad you were talking about but it's just a tutorial, uuuh so evil
  • 1
    @CristCD exactly, it's the new timeline feature (that you can disable), funny that ms haters just came to complain as usual without even know
  • 2
    @CristCD that’s what I thought too, except both Edge and IE have no history, for the simple fact I don’t use them.

    @Condor it’s public, and download as zip, he’ll never know it was you 😇
  • 1
    @C0D4 clearly someone searched and download filezilla on that laptop ... do you have other devices wit same ms account?

    @Floydian open repo
    Click settings
    Change to public

    @Floydian requested acces on Gdrive, guess thát's not needed tho :D thnx 4 sharing

    @Floydian Here's some shit for you. In order to trigger achievements properly in Forza Horizon 3, I had to turn telemetry back on. 😠
  • 0
    I don't see ads. I see search history from Bing and a visit to the page. Someone else is using your computer or you typed Filezilla into the search bar. I've never seen Bing ads on that screen. I don't use it extensively though.
  • 0
    @Floydian I was just speaking about Windows in general, not the cool stuff you provided. I'm going to try that out later. 😁
  • 0
    @C0D4 oh, I use the fastest ring, it's cool, but it's really unstable, GSoD can become on your screen kind of...always, when you work, when you sleep, when you eat, almost always
  • 5
    These are not Bing ads, but your history, asshole.

    If you can't use me, just don't.
