People who use spaces instead of tabs

I mainly use tabs with spaces if I'm aligning a method. The debate is kinda silly. 😅

might be a joke (and finally an actual good use of that gif), but people that use spaces, don't actually press space multiple times, they just use same tab key as anybody else, but their editor just translates that into a space, instead of a tab.

@QAgMire I use tabs so I can decide my own size of the tabs. For some languages two, for other four and for other languages three characters wide.

@vishal-vp coincidence is a single event - this here is correlation. Maybe space users are paid higher because they know such differences. ;-)

I use the tab key, so it takes less keystrokes, but the editor fills with spaces. 4 spaces, because I like my eyes.

@lucaspar but I like two spaces, thats what a tab character solves. The only benefit of spaces over tabs I have ever heard is that some console and browser editors act weirdly around them.

I literally never heard any other benefit which makes sense. A lot of space indenters are unaware how tab indenters work and the other way around as well.

That’s the only thing I don’t like about spaceX.. musk should have called it tabX...
