@RantSomeWhere I have a very large Penis and lots of loob...
But I'll let it slide this time... -
@RantSomeWhere That's a good final objective...
Till then I need to fuck some distros before... -
Starting to need a 3rd screen
but can't figure out the 3rd port... Why two connectors so similar but that won't feet? -
Restarting to linux Soon, wish me luck.
Btw, if this works, is it easy to clone the distro from the USB to the SSD? like without limmiting the SSD size -
Linux434836y@RantSomeWhere
Sorry, but Arch is not a real distro.
And I have uaed Linux since 2001 -

Still booting to windows -

"Arch is a testing distro, and should not be relied on as a daily driver"
Quote from the lead dev of Arch Linux Aron.
As long as you are prepare to break the standard of Linux, deal with bullshittery and spend alot of time - then Arch is for you -

"Not a real distro" - No I am obviously joking :) 90% of the Arch userbase is assholes so I am an asshole to them :p
Servers - Debian
Desktop - Trisquel -
Maartz22876y@Linux I’ve never give it a try.
I will ! Thanks ;)
I work on Fedora and CentOS at work, I like these distros. -
@Maartz No BSOD yet...
but I had to change like 6 or 7 settings to allow to use any UEFI other than windows...
Recreating the USB again, last time my 64GB USB got to 2GB... didnt like that -
Linux434836y@Maartz
Trisquel is based on Ubuntu thou, but you could always install the linux-libre kernel :) -
didnt change anything in the boot and can't restart to linux again...
Didn't want to do a DVD-Rom instalation... but...
Fuck it, Youtube, Install linux mint :p -
I won't quit... I know IIt's possible, I won't stop till I get fucking Linux in my system.

@GyroGearloose While Rufus (probably the tool I should had using in the beguinning) Is taking to hours to check and Install , I'll just code a little

Interesting seeing the free vs non free debate on here.
@Linux Debian is very good as a server os. I use CentOS because I like RedHat's integration with Java and Oracle.
Manjaro i3 is my daily driver but I would either go pure Debian or Fedora if I were to leave that ecosystem. -
@Linux Support is solid but my biggest gripe is how old many of the packages are. I don't do any real programming with php but I would go to Debian just to get support for php 7. CentOS is stuck on php 5 for god knows how long.

@Linux I should do a new Debian LAMP stack alongside my CentOS LAMP stack and do parallel dev work on both. :)
-
Try out Fedora while you're at it, it's my choice of distro. Similar to Ubuntu/Mint

YADU13896yOnce you go Linux you never go back...
Except when your job drags you back to Windows kicking and screaming. -
Hey, the simplest way is using lili (linux live usb creator? Sth like that) on windows.
-
@GyroGearloose honestly just install as normal, and then make a super grub2 rescue disk. It's a good thing to keep around anyways. Welcome to Linux, shit breaks, good luck!

Laptop for dev: Arch
Desktop for dev and gaming: Arch
Server: Arch
Am I doing something wrong?
Definitely not.
