DO IT!
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?
DON'T LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS...!
DOOOO IT!!1! -
Linux434836y@Floydian @zlice
I am not mad, I am just bored/need to feel useful. Like people actually depend on me and I really love what I am doing. Besides work ofc. -
@zlice the pointlessness is what make it all so great. Think of it-we as a race working so hard toward nothing. Thats our greatest art, like a flower blooming- the human race building life for itself. Your work is our definition, our greatest win. It what make us gods- the creation. Dont give up because it is meaningless. Stand up and push foreword. Not for any purpose, but as the hymn of a race singing its way to eternity
-
@zlice but thats the entire paradox- having no target make us put targets. I say "fuck this shit!". Targets are not necessary to keep going once you see that every target is fake from the beginning

I am not interested in NGO that is heavily influenced by a political party. -
Same here, I love what I do but outside work I'm like, now what? nothing is interesting me these days besides work and salary lol
-
@Linux oh that is a hard thing to find tbh. IMO it is not about someone who enjoys the same thing that I do, but also think the same when it comes to these things tbh. I met few people that like to code but they like to brag a lot, or "live the moment" if you understand what I mean.
I just didn't find anyone that be like: Why don't we work on this, one hand cannot clap by itself. -
Linux434836y@gitpush
Yeah same. Or share same idea of something.
And like you say - so many people brag alot but when I start to ask things they dont know shit -
@Linux yup too bad things are like this. I know I'm not the best one out there, but I always try to stick to my limits and not act as if I am the father of programming.
Not sure why people tend to act as if they are the best and they are the next Bill Gates ...etc. -
Wack61916yYou love to play with linux servers, especially mail, right?
So how about this as a side project: mailserver in a docker. There could be different flavours, just a simple sending mails out thing, one which also includes a gui (you could have different flavours for different open source guis), one flavour which includes an api to add/remove users and so on. Basically simplify mailservers for us meer mortal devs to some config values, but also document it, why one should configure something this or that way, how to secure it and so on...
I need motivation
