Got a new Asus laptop at work. It brings so much crap. Currently installing Mint...

    Hahaha I always do that. When I got my laptop, first thing I did was erase the hdd along with the backup partition.
    I mean, who uses that partition anyway lol

    Yeah, exactly.. Laptops these days are annoying af out of the box

    Got an Asus as well.. if the touchpad doesn't work, suspend/wake up.. driver bug.

    @zamb1n1 It's the only thing that didn't work on a new ASUS. I read through the upcoming kernel release and saw a fix suggesting that it doesn't wake up at first, so I tried suspending it and it worked for me -

    @stable-penguin the only thing that I've noticed so far is that the touchpad is unreliable af. Yesterday I forgot my mouse at home and had to use it, that shit 75% of the times wouldn't recognize that I touched it to click something

    @zamb1n1 see if it's using libinput or old synaptics driver (dmesg | grep). Then check out the relevant Arch wiki page.
