Orionss28866y@Argos First of all, as alternatives to Firefox, there's only Google Chrome that is really serious (Opera's not enough taken seriously).
Google Chrome is known as the RAM Eater because it's true. That does make it a bad browser. I won't talk about the spywares they use because there is an alternative : Chromium.
Now, Firefox is really great. Particularly since Quantum. What you pointed out doesn't seem to be true because we all have the hability to reorder our bookmarks in Android (while I agree that Firefox Android is not the sexiest app).
Also, I've never had a problem with Firefox Sync, so I can't understand what happened to you.
(BTW, why do you need bookmark description?) -
Argos1746y@Orionss
Firefox eats almost as much ram as chrome, so no big difference.
No, you can't reorder bookmarks on android, its you who are not telling the truth.
Maybe you have 5 bookmarks in your browser and use it only to check e-mail/facebook in this case even such shit as firefox/Internet explorer will be fine.
If a person uses browser like a tool he definitely needs description and makes much of bookmarks, and firefox is not capable of syncing them properly -
c3ypt1c96546y@Argos you literally said it doesn't allow editing of the bookmarks in the original post. I proved you wrong. And you're getting upset like a child would, wtf dud?
And well, it doesn't support reordering bookmarks. It just shows the latest bookmarks? It doesn't make it a bad browser. -
c3ypt1c96546y@Argos damn. Bad vibes from you boi. And that's a first on devRant. Then what do you use that's so good?
-
c3ypt1c96546y@Argos where is this anger coming from dud, are you okay? Surely it can't just be Firefox, Gmail and some random stuff.

@ViRaS Just tried it out of curiousity (use Firefox mobile anyways) and it worked indeed.
Syncing (back when I still used that which is a few months ago) takes about 5-10 seconds for me (addons only though).
I don't use chrome for Google reasons so can't be sure about the chrome part. -
fiat68206yi mainly use ie 11 on w7 machines and ie 8 on xp ones but i often use firefox 45 wich is the last good version of the good old firefox, i tried quantum and it sucked, is too clean, uses more ram, is too modern and is designed for kids, and i ve heard that spy people like that peice of crap OS called windows 10 do, i never liked chrome, but now they have the same simple shitty modern style, i prefer old graphical software over shit bigbuttons rounded material design crap, firefox ftp provides older versions, or visit oldversion.com.
to fix your problem go back to version 45 and your problems will be solved, for extensions search for extensions archive and you re fine then, hope it helped
ps im now using a compaq evo n115 running windows xp pro using firefox 40.0.3 :) -

Mozilla sold its soul to Google and the Big Brother mafia. Firefox is not privacy-friendly since the Big Brother mafia can give Mozilla a gag order to spy on Firefox users "secretly". Brendan Eich worked at Mozilla until Mozilla's working environment became an echo chamber that doesn't accept people who are against same-sex marriage. When Mozilla copartnered with Google, that's when Firefox evolved into a Google Chrome privacy nightmare. Employees from Mozilla lie about the privacy in Firefox because they're puppets to the Big Brother mafia. The mobile version of Firefox has poorer quality than the desktop version of Firefox because the lazy Mozilla developers don't want to improve their mobile products. I have to waste more time editing my "about:config" page on the mobile version of Firefox than on the desktop version of Firefox because I can save my "prefs.js" file on the desktop version of Firefox, but not the mobile version of Firefox.
-
I decided that I would stick with the much older version of Firefox because I don't want the libtarded Mozilla nazis forcing me to update my Firefox browser, making my Firefox browser have an obnoxious pop-up that says "Download a fresh copy of Firefox", making my Firefox browser make automatic connections with Mozilla, and not minding their own business by collecting telemetry information about me. So, I've tweaked the hell out of my Firefox browser to get those Firefox nazis to stop spying on me. Mozilla and its Google and Big Brother partners can all eat my shit.
-
These are things you can't do on mobile version of Firefox: move/alphabetise bookmarks, import preferences into "about:config" page, use Developer Tools, go on true desktop versions of websites without add-ons and tweaking the Firefox browser, customise add-ons on the side of the Firefox screen, name files and folders before they're downloaded, move files and folders to a certain location in the phone's system before they're downloaded, use add-ons that are not compatible with the mobile version of Firefox, use many apps on a phone without making the mobile version of Firefox crash, and change the size of the fonts on the "about:config" page without getting a headache from having to read small texts. Which means that the mobile version of Firefox can only do 1/4 of what the desktop version of Firefox can do, which is retarded considering it's the year of 2020. That also means that the mobile version of Firefox is more of a toy rather than something that can be used for serious tasks.
-
Firefox really does use up a lot of the RAM on my computer, so Mozilla is a RAM-consuming piece of shit. Mozilla started to make Firefox become less lightweight in regards to RAM usage. Now, Firefox is just as heavyweight as Google Chrome is when Firefox uses the RAM on my computer.
-
ViRaS19675y@TheRantiest Maybe they'll fix these issues in the new mobile browser project, Firefox Fenix.
It's currently under development and its alpha version is available as "Firefox Preview". -
Those Mozilla nazis won't surprise me if they make the obnoxious "Download a fresh copy of Firefox" pop-up show on Firefox Fenix. And I won't be surprised if Mozilla nazis make Firefox Fenix be more of a privacy nightmare. Mozilla nazis have been lying to Firefox users ever since Mozilla has been sold out to Google for profit despite Mozilla nazis pretentiously saying Firefox is privacy-friendly, not for profit, pro-freedom, and other things. Firefox's desktop version 45 is when the Firefox internet browser got dumbed down. When I edit my "prefs.js" file, I see these words on that file: "DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE". Because Mozilla nazis pretentiously assume that I'm too retarded to tinker with the files for my internet browser or the Mozilla nazis want me to be too retarded to not be able to figure out that Mozilla nazis are assholes. At this point, I'm not going to be too optimistic nor too pessimistic about Firefox Fenix. But, Mozilla developers/nazis have consistently disappointed me.

Firefox is shit
- In version 62 the cocksuckers finally removed the ability to add description to bookmarks, now there is no difference between mozilla shit browser and chrome, except chrome has working mobile version and working bookmark sync.
- Yes, firefox mobile on android does not even allow you to edit bookmarks so that useless crap can't be called a browser at all.
- Firefox shitcoded sync takes more time to sync 1 bookmark, than chrome takes to setup all bookmarks/addons/settings on fresh-install and in addition to that, it messed my bookmarks several times, so I am forced to sync places.sqlite via dropbox to syncronize bookmarks, because it is way much faster and reliable.
