antergos (basically archlinux with decent/simple gui installer) + LXDE as desktop environment
one of the lightest combo i can think about -
Can't go won't with xubuntu, lubuntu or Debian/Arch/SUSE with xfce or lxde/lxqt

@thatsnotnice meh, arch is not really my thing. I'm used to debian tbh. Keepin it easy, you know?
@Kirito-kun tried lubuntu, it was.. bad. I think the style was too minimal for me back in the days, but nowadays, i could try it again.

What os to put on a slow 1.1 ghz dual core 4gb ram netbook?
