@dontbeevil free version not sure, paid version supports everything IntelliJ sells, except for C I think, and possibly iOS development. All web languages, for example, should be supported in the pro version.

You can do so much with VSCode! It's like a Swiss Army Knife.

I use it for Flutter and also PL/SQL

I did that once... And then ended up reinstalling Atom... Now I have (and frequently use) both... what does that make me?

vscode really does feel like it was made for _me_. I'm not sure what it is about it that feels so much better than any other editor I have used.

@dontbeevil You can use it for plenty of languages, I've used it for PHP before jumping to netbeans :)

@Observable I use both tbh. Code for the little things, Intellij for things that turn into projects, or python stuff (Vs code auto complete is useless in that regard).

I do miss a proper elastic search integration though, like the one for Vs code, which lets you write queries in the editor and submit them. It turns the results in a editor tab with the JSON in it.

What's so great in vscode? What does it have that other pseudo-IDEs don't? I mean, Sublime, Atom, Brackets?
Are there any useful features that exist only in vscode, without any similar thing in IntelliJ?

@4h4b that's a huge difference! :D project I'm working on takes 20 minutes to compile and deploy to int server by Jenkins :) i'd save so much time!

I only use vscode to solve git conflict because it highlight the difference.
