Only a few days in on using my new phone, already gathered 67 tabs in my browser and counting.. should I be worried? 😥

    Are you a data hoarder? lol

    Heh, I have infinite tabs

    @Jifuna striving to get there soon :D
    @Stuxnet most certainly! I can never get rid of browser tabs if my browser doesn't get rid of them for me upon app close 😅

    I personally learned that when you get >= 100 open tabs in Chrome the tab count turns into ":D". I also learned that I could easily spend the rest of my life in analysis paralysis... I like learning things that will have no practical application whatsoever. Some kind of high-brow procrastination. Thanks, brain.

    I've had a ;) in my browser for multiple weeks now.

    @PrivateGER I've never actually seen that one in the tab counter! After how many tabs does that one appear?

    @M1sf3t about 1.5 screens worth of apps currently, and I'm a purist 🙃

    Some apps I genuinely don't need though, like OnePlus' stock gallery, the stock camera app (also from OnePlus, good but it doesn't support 720p recording at 240fps despite having manufactured a phone that does! If anyone knows a camera app that does support this, please let me know) and things like that. But I haven't been able to get around successfully debloating this phone yet, last time I tried, it actually broke both the Google and DuckDuckGo search apps 😅

    @Frederick educated guess: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ page at least a dozen times ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    DuckDuckGo's browser has a very convenient button in the bar that automatically clears tabs and data :)

    @Condor lol, I also have that issue, cuz then finding stuff again is tricky. In my line of work I found a startup that's just beginning/alpha some new concepts to improve how you save things.

    Bangs are amazing!!

    @Condor I feel you man.

    I've got notes and papers from when I was a jr in highschool (only like 4 years ago but still pointless to keep lol) just for the fuck of it.

    Just use bookmarks instead. Quit eating your RAM.

    @Parzi meh, Firefox doesn't use that much. On Android I've got plenty now (8GB LPDDR4) and it's using only a few hundred megs. On desktop (Windows which allocates RAM like crazy, yet never overallocates) I've got 104 Firefox tabs open (iirc) and it only consumes about 2GB of RAM (plenty of swap allocation too though but Task Manager doesn't seem to support checking that). Try doing that on the known RAM-eater Chrome 🙃

    @M1sf3t of course, I've got several Firefox extensions and I don't have a Firefox/Pocket/whatever account 🙂 all you need to do really is enabling JavaScript on their add-on website. But even things like NoScript can't interfere with that because it's a privileged page. So no special actions needed essentially.

    You know that tabs are not perpetual processes, right?

    The “x” in the top corner should be able to close a tab adequately when you are finished with it.

    Thank you

    @Scipio That's about as useful as "have you tried turning it off and on again?"
    In other words, stating the obvious. Whoosh!
    @M1sf3t That OneTab seems pretty useful actually! I'll give this add-on a try shortly.

    @Condor 100+ in incognito mode.

    Try using different browsers...
    Take a look at Pufin, with built-in VPN (btw tell me how secure it is). I use two browsers to save tabs.
