Progress on my UWP file explorer! Here's some screenshots. I really enjoy the Acrylic material, and my favorite page is the "There's nothing here" page because it came out EXACTLY as I wanted it. More images in the comments!

@AlgoRythm the “Create” action; is that folder, file, or git repo?

@bkwilliams @djlazz3 File or folder. A context menu appears when you click it

    That looks amazing

    Also,
    1. Open Source?
    2. Will you add a Search Bar with regex Support? I've wanted to use regex for eternity now...

@EaZyCode Open source will work like this: only official versions will be open sourced. As soon as this app gets approved (If it does), I will open source the code that is on the store. If I add more features, they will not go open source until they are on the store.

And regex shouldn't be too hard to do, I will keep that in mind.

@Algo @AlgoRythm This looks so damn cool. I'm eagerly waiting for the release. Please let us know when you release. Do you have any subscribe to get alerted when we launch page?
If not, I'd be happy to setup one for you.

@nirmaldalmia I'll post about it here when it is released. I'll also keep posting updates on it's development.

@AlgoRythm Sounds cool. Eagerly waiting on the release. Good luck!

@algorythm and... were you the one who was making devrant android app again? How's that goin'?
  • 3
Looking good so far, but you're icons need to BREATHE.

Add a ton of negative space, people love that. Other than that, hoping to see more!

@CozyPlanes Yup, I still have that going on but I have just been working on more exciting things. Getting really intimate with c++ and now I'm racing Microsoft to make this. The source is still on GitHub for native devRant

@010001111 Haha, I'll worry about perfecting spacing and everything in the future, I still have a hell of a lot of basic things I need to get working! Code is spaghetti because I'm going fast and breaking things. This is 3 days of work.

@AlgoRythm ms should hire you for windows desktop ui, they have been using same design since eternity and I’m sick of it already

    I NEED IT.
  • 2
@devTea Haha, tell Microsoft that! I need a job!

@dyllisphiller UWP really isn't the most fun to work with. Brand new thing with brand new bugs. But I think it's at an okay place right now. I'm getting some weird bugs (Like not being able to access file info about files in the root of a drive) but overall UWP is pretty pleasant.

    Thank you!!

Just refactored and went from a 500-line main file to a 200-line main file. Beforehand, everything was just glued together in one big c# file. Now it's all spread out and pretty.

@AlgoRythm source? Can I get the link?

@AlgoRythm This looks really cool! I will be waiting for this one.
