Hey fellas,
So, our company is taking up some consulting projects to survive this pandemic since our main business is a little down. I've been assigned to a RN project and the client company has 2 other devs. Those devs are so incompetent that they don't even know the basics of JS and RN. They don't even understand how to split code into components and make it resusable. Okay, fine they must be new devs. I get it but can't you even fucking follow the instructions and guidelines that I'm giving you!! The code is very bad with a lot of pitfalls. In the first 2 weeks I reviewed all the code they were writing and gave comments for improvements. They didn't even care to do that! Now I've given up!
Every single day looking at the codebase makes me sick and not want to touch anything. I've practically started hating the project. How do I deal with this situation? Now, we are reaching the deadline and they're piling up the work on me. Any suggestions on how to handle this?
Thanks!
P.S: This is my first actual rant!6 -
This is how we managed to crash GitHub a couple of days ago. Get ready for 2 more crashes in the coming days 😂3

Most of you might already know this but for those of you who don't - Pluralsight is offering all of their courses for free, for the month of April. Anyone who wants to learn anything, now's a good time to start. Besides, you can get a skill badge on your Stack Overflow profile if you manage to clear any test.

Hey everyone!
I'm thinking of building an open-source React Native app for DevRant just as a fun project. I came across an unofficial API documentation and also a wrapper.

If anyone has used these, kindly let me know your experience and which one is better.
PS: I have no intention to publish or earn money from this project. Anyone who is interested can jump into the project and help in making it better. If enough people want to use it, I can compile an apk/ipa for people to download later on.devrant react native devrant app open source community project community app github android devrant api ios -
My Instagram feed wasn't loading up, neither was the profile. I thought my app was acting up and neglected it. Apparently both FB and Instagram are down for some users around the world. Sad.
Now, even my WhatsApp is unable to send across images.

Ending the year on 242!
It's not a big number but considering I've progressed from 10 contributions in 2017 to 242 in 2018, I'm happy!17 -
So, Instagram put that "Be the first to comment" as a part of the background on the image itself. Whenever I scroll past comments that is visible in between the gaps. They couldn't even render a simple text view if there are no comments. And, I thought I was the only one who uses lazy hacks to make things work.2

For quite sometime I thought that it was not possible to create .env files on Windows. Got to know today that you can create them directly in VS Code. 🤦♂️3
