D-4got10-01280412dI'm glad you're enjoying yourself.
I learn stuff, too. Usually when some topic pops into my head, I visit Wikipedia, then open one of the related links, then open a few others, && so on. -
whimsical174312d@D-4got10-01 that's how I've learnt about covid by just clicking on virus and just crawled the whole dutch Wikipedia. Then my conclusion was that you can't be an expert on viruses crawling only the dutch Wikipedia. By assuming that I've studied it more than most I accepted all the fake doctors out there. Virology almost got dumped as a science until DNA technology got invented and then the computer games began - a source. Later, when learned that the vaccins were based on synthetic viruses and not the real deal I must often think about the part together with the news not reflecting reality. We're we watching the biggest psychosis of mankind?
-
D-4got10-01280412d@whimsical Well... IIRC some vaccines do include either dead or severely weakened bacteria / viruses, whatever. Probably depends on the vaccine. -
whimsical174311d@wojtek322 I'll look up later for ya. I'm not sure if you're in the ding, depends if you were active in that span of two weeks that time. It's full of some very profound disses. I expect to have the link here within four hours.
I got called a spammer in the song :p -
Lensflare2131411dJust be careful with learning from AI.
You never know when it randomly teaches you wrong stuff that it just made up. -
whimsical174311d@Lensflare I've learnt that Germans grow on trees and that's why some like apple.
-
whimsical174311d@wojtek322 can't find it on server. Will look tomorrow in Suno. Retoorii first sleepii.
-
whimsical174311d@Lensflare or just like apples? Also, in Dutch, potatoes are "aardappels" what means "ground/eart/dirt apples".
-
Lensflare2131410d@whimsical btw, in German (and probably Dutch, too) there is one word for both, "soil" and "earth": Erde.
Also "oven" and "furnace" is the same: Ofen. -
D-4got10-01280410dTo add to the fun on linguistics:
```
en_US : pl_PL
potato : ziemniak || kartofel,
soil : ziemia,
Earth : Ziemia,
oven : piekarnik,
furnace : piec.
@afaIk > 'because it is, it lacks of profound and real thinking, the author finds we live in magic times because he uses perplexity and whatever the fuck, pathetic. btw this place is completely pathetic, you guys here are in a monologue, 10 guys playing tennis with each other here?'.
Well, you're certainly entitled to have your opinion. As far as the closed circle of often varying or opposing ideas / stands on subjects, I see no problem w/ that. -
@afaIk 'How can you question that? because there is AI we live in magic time? ok thanks bye.'.
I question _everything_. That said, I don't have a problem w/ a person being happy w/ the LLMs. I have my opinion, but don't see any reason to reject the claims of others. If a person finds the LLMs useful, good for them. -
@afaIk > 'It's like saying because there's Slim we live in magic times.'.
There's plenty of 'magic' to go around. We each have different things that fascinate us, as such some of us might use the phrase. Perhaps you're taking things too literally. -
@wojtek322 it's very annoying that I can't find it because I spend quite some time to create it. I had to export all rants and comments of a few weeks to create the song with the profound disses. A new song could be a good idea because less people to diss.
-
@whimsical Sad times :(
But a new song can be fun in a few weeks (hopefully before the platform is fully dead)
Wauw, notebooklm is such an amazing app. First you had to do research yourself to deliver things for the podcast you're about to generate. Now it'll fetch just ten sources for you when you pick a subject and generates the podcast based on that. I just generated a podcast for 30 minutes about the history of computer science. It was amazing, many things fell into place for me. That 30 minutes felt like five. So amazing how the dialogue goes from the podcast people, such human interactions. A joy to listen. I prompted to make a bit story out of it. It's a great way for low effort learning; just like AI in general. Learn stuff you normally wouldn't take the effort for.
We live in magic times. My favorite at products:
1. Perplexity
2. NotebookLM
3. Claude Code
4. Suno (Made many funny songs for and about friends and family members what was appreciated, also, don't forget the song that dissed every active devRant member).
Claude code is sick, but if we just had perplexity we still had a way to learn things fast but just had to type it ourselves. Well, never hated that. NotebookLM on two because I'll learn a subject every night, maybe something not related to programming. That that shit is free, damn. Are those people not just terrible at marketing? Fine if we're hooked on AI on the future, by then it's probably cheap as fuck.
Thanks for listening to my happy rant.
