So what music are you guys listening to as of late?

Personally, I've been listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and I'm really into them right now.

Have a listen to "Snarky Puppy". I love the album "We like it here".

I get all the mood bump-up I would get with RHCP, but it also gets me in a highly creative mode ^^

Vivaldi - Complete Flute Concertos. And other baroque music.

    @CoffeeNcode May I recommend you Breed77? 😉

    ----
I change music as much as my under wear - at least once a day.
But mainly Jazz, Bossanova, Death-, Doom-, Blackmetal, Synth-, Darkwave (for programming) and some beautiful piano pieces from Vivaldi and Beethoven.
For me, music a pretty situational and mood-related thing.

@CoffeeNcode They have the greatest fucking cover of "Zombie"!

@CoffeeNcode I would also recommend Avenged Sevenfold and maybe Bring Me the Horizon

@M1sf3t if by this band you mean Snarky Puppy, yes, go watch them!! You can check the YouTube videos of the songs in "We like it here" to get an idea of how it will be.

If you weren't meaning that, yes, go watch them! These guys are really good musicians and surround themselves with nothing but good quality. And I think with jazz (and classical music), live performances improve a lot the experience over recordings.

TLDR; yes, by all means! Tell us afterwards how it was!

@M1sf3t he has been for very long in SP, but I'm not sure who takes part in the composition of their songs... I guess we'll have to do some more research and well, decide upon price and willingness to exchange the headphones by the scary and busy world out there :P

Pink Floyd, Ivan and the Parasol, whatever is on Radio Ondarossa (Italian communist radio) or Fip (french). Strange collection, especially given that I don't speak Italian nor french, but it's very comfortable to just turn on the radio and get 75% good music.

Usually synthwave these days, but I quite like other electronic music as well. Currently I'm listening to Surface by Aero Chord. For ambient music I also like Epicuros. The Winter Night Sky is something that I often listen to for studying and Horizons of Time is one that I really like during sysadmin work. Other times I like 70's/80's classics as well, like Relight My Fire, Born to be Alive, Murder on the Dancefloor, Maneater etc. Also, Lindsey Stirling. Can't get enough of her violin tracks, like Mirror Haus and Elements.

@CoffeeNcode @irene either of you heard of Evans Blue?

I listen to either hardstyle or its sub genre raw hardstyle/rawstyle but mostly the underground raw scene.

Within those genres, I usually bump around between artists and have phases as in like, one day/week I'm really into one artist or song and the next I'm really into another one.

I always keep listening to these though:
D-Sturb, Rejecta, Malice (not the metal band, the raw duo, these are the hardest ones in the fucking scene), Radical Redemption and a few more but can't remember right now.
Malice has my love forever, though. This because they broke through in the "mainstream" raw scene and are successfully getting their unique underground sound through to the surface. 🙂

@Condor oh yeah, Lindsey Stirling rocks! Not only her music, but also her video performance sparkles of creativity. My faves are the arena and the western duel.

A Perfect Circle’s new album really takes 2-3 listens to get good.

Never can stop listening and finding new things in the old Tool Albums. Can only find them on YouTube though.

More locally I like Neighbor Lady and Family and Friends.

Follow a few big names. Logic and The Weeknd have been my the ones I play lately.

I love Lana Del Rey’s vocals. Some people don’t though.

For pure instrumental: Explosions In The Sky. Every one of their albums is gold, but each very different
