Hahah yes, I was already checking logs when rd got disconnected xD
On relogin two active sessions, one from us (coworker was using it) and a new one by the same client who asked to check stuff. Well the username matched, I didn't go snoop around to see if it was actually him or they're username swingers.. o.O xD -
neriald14476y@-ANGRY-CLIENT- I didn’t mean to actually, sorry 😅
@sladuled maybe you’ve missed the grin on your coworker’s face =p -
@neriald hahaha nope, they know to check before forcefully disconnecting one of us & also check who is connected before doing so xD

Huh, I see I haven't ranted about this one yet.. one time one of our support guys did this (disconnected me) mid time sensitive update on prod..
He didn't know how to check who was connected let alone had the brain to ask (anything really), just kicked me off.. then when I went to check wtf is happening he even accused me of hijacking his session and closing his stuff (I never do that unless sql dev is munching on ram and I also tell people to save stuff they need before doing so). Anyhow, inactive sessions get cleared after xy time at one customer and he didn't know that (what a fine support officer he was!). He lost his 'work'..but not because of me.
So yeah, others know not to kick people off servers :/ even before this incident. -
I've had this recently. Something crashed and I was on call and started investigating. Suddenly my terminal became unresponsive and I was dropped out of the session. Asked fellow engineers if they were rebooting but nope.
Shit worked again after a few minutes and next day we messaged the client asking if they rebooted the server and if so, why in the living FUCK they didn't notify us. Client said yes and we not so kindly reminded them that WE manage their fucking server.
Client demanded to know what was happening the night before but apparently the logs got saved in a temporary location.... which.... gets emptied..... upon reboot 😑
We kindly explained that we could not find the cause because of their goddamn reboot. They were pissed but ended up blaming their own engineer 😁
