It’s amazing when people come in for an interview and say, ‘Can you tell me about your business?’ Seriously, people. There’s an Internet. Look it up.

    Sometimes it is good to hear what the interviewer's thoughts on the company are, they might not be the same as the official version on the website. Remember, the candidate is interviewing the company too.

    It's always a good idea, as a candidate, to have questions to ask during an interview. But, "tell me about the company" is terrible.

    I always ask because theres nothing more useless than a company statement written by some PR firm for maximum synergy

    Yeah, but it's much better (and feasible to answer) if the question is specific.

    "What kind of automation software do you use?"

    "What opportunities are there for advancement?"

    "If I get sick or if there's a blizzard, would I be able to login from home?"

    I never ask and then i spend about 4-5 month not knowing. I'm still learning stuff about my current job after 3 years 😀
