I'm thinking about getting a small "Hello, World!" tattoo on my wrist. Any opinions? Am I going to regret this?

I was gonna get a hello world program written in brainfuck, cause today's my 18th birthday and I can do it myself now

I'd go for something that didn't include text but that's just personal preference. I've heard from many friends that the tattoos they regret the most are the ones that are words.

I don't know much about tattoos, but happy birthday!

Ink each alphabet on each finger

Maybe it's just a personal thing for me, but I don't recommend tattoos at all.

    :(){ :|:& };: is a little less cringey.

@M1sf3t well as I said, it's mostly something personal, and somehow complicated. But if i have to brief it, first, it is (as many other things) something that suddenly becomes the new social norm, and many people still think it's cool because it's antisocial. Ironically (exactly like those many other things) it in fact gradually becomes a trend and even a required part of being sociable. Second, some people think it is a way to "express themselves", something I don't like to do (which is my business), and I don't like to be exposed to (which is not my business, but evading it just makes me more introvert).
So in one big irony, because I'm antisocial.

On a wrist I find it funny only if it's someone's first attempt at making a tattoo. On some other body part it could be funny as it is.

@M1sf3t of course, only if I could be sure that it's really regardless of anyone else, I think it's quite opposite. The fact is we don't have a concrete ground for some important but vague notions, like what we call "the human will", so I'm not even sure about "what I want" (no one is I guess), but being a human being, I don't like this. And seeing the people acting in herds (and chanting free will) does not help this at all.

@Elyz I want it to be related to programming and I didn't find one that I liked and wasn't a text or code of some sort.

@M1sf3t I wear long sleeves all the time, so hopefully hiding it won't be a problem and I don't think my current job will have a problem with it either.

@cursee That's too visible! I'm not ready for that! 😊

Nothing above the collar, nothing below the wrist, nothing morally objectionable and no names that aren't blood related.

Those are my rules and everything else is just fun.

@seraphimsystems so a dickbutt on your belly is fine

@cursee depends on your morals I guess, it wouldn't be allowed under my rules as it contains genitalia, so I wouldn't want to explain that to my kids or show it off at the pool
