I love technology! Went to the grocery store today. Realized that I forgot my wallet. Paid with my phone. Very satisfying.

Been there but it was two minutes before closing time and I had never used phone for that before. That was satisfying.

I have NFC pay set up specifically for cases like this.

Never had to use it, as I personally prefer cash first. But I've got it for emergencies.

@zotigapo I think China will eventually be the world leader in technology and pushing it to it's limits, and probably in the next decade or two.

@zotigapo not comparing it to China, but in Denmark you can pay in most places with MobilePay.

I was having conversation about 12 years ago with a guy in a pub. He said something that day which at the time seemed absurd... He said his team is working on a Tech that won't need people punching in there pin code everytime they buy something with their card. It's amazing how science fiction catches up with reality so fast...

Don't know about China but I can tell you about India. We have a plethora of mobile payment apps, one of them being developed by Google itself. The govt. recently provided a central API gateway which all banks adhere to and these apps utilize the same gateway to debit/credit money directly from/to your bank account. There's no transaction fee as of now. It looks like this is a direct competition to Visa/MasterCard which didn't evolve with time.

My endpoint manager removed a load of apps it "didn't like" including Samsung pay so I had to leave my stuff and go home with no supper.
