Just shouted to my boss: "You have a degree in CopyPaste issued by the University of Clipboard"

:joy:

He's trying to edit some HTML tables and got lost... he also has this notion that he can do our job...

Lol

And then? What happened after you shouted? How did he react? Don't leave it without the climax😶

@Bleh I did laugh like crazy, because the sentence came out without too much thinking but it made sense... He was ok, the mood was good, not always the case though.

Well, this has some context with other similar situations, some good some bad... may another rant someday ;)

@pmike lucky. I told something sensible to my lead. He taunted at least twice after that.

We realised there was some code behaviour we needed when we were writing test cases. So we changed code. He said it wasn't right to change code for test cases. I said "Test cases let you rethink and make you realise if code is written the way you want it to behave"

Apparently it wasn't right for me to say something that was actually right.

@Bleh I know that feeling... It haunts me everyday... Last friday i had a situation like that but by then the mood changed from good to one sided bad... I tend to be calm and several years of dealing with crazy people increased my immunity to those wicked behaviours. Imagine this same boss screamed like crazy throwing a "but i'm the boss so you do what you're told...". I said that he was dumb (with "polite" words) and even joked with his stupidity after he realized that what he was asking was nonsense. Obviously i have several years in this company and i'm a key employee and if they fire me i even thank them :)

@Bleh The good side, at least you have unit tests xD

@pmike "if they fire me, I will thank them" . That's the exact same feeling I have.

And yeah, we started writing test cases recently.....and thankgod we are writing.

@Bleh It's like, "What does'nt kill you makes you stronger...". Learn the most you can, the good and the bad. The good, to improve yourself and the bad it's also an improvement, unnecessary one but nonetheless you will be able to identify what you don't want and what you don't like. Its all part of the journey :/

@pmike I bet he wasn't issued a degree even in CopyPaste. Instead he copyPasted the degree by himself.
