    If it is a stock photo, please remove it. Some stock images companies are copyright trolls that can and will sue. One unlicensed picture should be several hundred dollars.

    We don't want @dfox to get into trouble with devRant, do we?

    @norman70688 not all. And I doubt that the OP has bought the licence for that pic.

    Also, if copied from another website that is using this pic as licenced version, then it's clear why there is no watermark.

    @Fast-Nop are you serious?
    Have you ever seen a company pay for a copyright violation of a user? On a free service? At least the could ask to remove it, they can’t ask you to pay directly...

    @JS96 yes, I am. Gettys Images specifically has a track record of that. They proceeded against countless bloggers.

    @Fast-Nop a company where the content is user generated isn’t never responsible of it. They have time to remove it, never have to pay immediately.
    A blogger can be sued if uses copyrighted images in a post, but not if someone post it in the comments under his post.

    The case you’re talking about could be possible only with an as fucking law as the one which was voted in the EU parliament a few days ago.
    Something that isn’t yet a thing in real world.
