I'm still on Windows, which I hate, but I'm stuck with Photoshop... I love Atom though.

@DeWil Try Inkscape or GIMP and see if you can make the switch. Don't underestimate those two tools. :)

@avronr I've had my fair share of nightmares with different linux distros.

To the point where you're dropped to an emergency shell and have to manually boot your linux 😉

@DeWil VS Code outclasses Atom in everything it wants to be. Speaking from experience after hopping between sublime, notepad++ and Atom.

@avronr @Arias95 I would like to comment on this. Arch Linux is bare bones. It's super cool when it works, but it's a very quick dive to the thirteenth circle of hell if it doesn't.

Look up the AUR Malware desaster that happened a while ago.

Also Arch Linux is far from perfect or "the solution". Its YALD with it's positives and negatives.

Furthermore, GIMP & InkScape can't cater to anything close what the Adobe Suite is capable of. Yes, Wine is a possibility but still far from enjoyable in performance if you're going beyond simple edits.

@beggarboy It doesn't matter if you're a virgin or not. There's a distro for everyone. If stability is what you want, try Debian. Going back to windows is nothing but a downgrade. :)

@beggarboy There are professional designers who do all their work on Inkscape or GIMP or Krita. Sure they may not have all the features that the Adobe suite has but they can surely act as replacements in a lot of cases.

@avronr You're starting to talk out of your ass.

@avronr Inkscape is great but for a different purpose and I personally HATE Gimp because of it's pesky UI and unintuitiveness (If that's a word?)
