Strongly thinking about fully switching to Linux. I love simplicity but also want to use a good looking environment - Any recommendations? (Distro-wise and DesktopEnv-wise)

My current favorite distros (without trying tho) are Manjaro, PopOS, maybe Arch? (not sure how complicated it is, really.)

Coming from Windows, i'd probably use a VM for Photoshop and Lutris for gaming. Anything else will be lovely native :D

Would be nice to hear about your experiences and recommendations! ^^

What do you guys think about #uploadfilter ? Are companies like Google, Facebook etc. even able to create a working copyright filter algorithm?

Windows is crap! Linux is better but does not support many important programs. And I think, a good system should be usable just fine without using the Terminal.

So would it be possible to create a 4th big system architecture (Open-Source), which supports Windows Apps & Games without being shitty and without harming their laws?

Is there actually a proper way to do Math in Javascript, without parsing every value to avoid something like
"1" + 3 = 13 ?

Samsung, because their devices used to be the very best but now their UI only gets really slow after a few weeks, they're too expensive etc. Basically there are about 10 other companies i'd prefer, even Apple. Using a Oneplus right now.

Lately my sister's sound wasn't working. So i came over to see, whats wrong. Her boyfriend was also there, who claims to be a programmer himself, so i asked myself why he hasn't already solved the issue. But instead of asking, i just got on her computer and looked around.

First, i checked the audio jack, which was plugged in normally. There's a little wheel on the table, controlling the volume. There was a little light on it, shining. I assumed, it had to be a software problem and got into Windows' Audio Manager. Everything was okay. I spent the next 10 minutes checking EVERYTHING, even tried a restart (obviously changed nothing, but you never know ;D ). Drivers, Audio Settings, everything was okay.

Desperately I leant back in the chair and shot some looks around. Turns out, the plug wasn't plugged in. *facepalm*

The little light, shining on the wheel, seems to get its power through the audio jack.

It's always the simplest thing.
