Five interviews and challenges later and I’m told they won’t be going further with me.
Over month of my life. Finally thought this was the one. But oh well. Depression.

I officially quit being a dev.

During my 31y life i've applied probably to about 1200 jobs. My theory is that 10 applications gives you one interview and every tenth interview gives you a job. It's a numbers game. And most importantly don't take it personally especially the refusals.

Also important is the ability to put your self in the shoe of potential employers. Your resume should ooze benefit for the reader. Your github repo is your way to show what your capable of.

You know success is more about on how you handle failure. And that's something one have to learn. So keep going, you can do that!😉

You don’t have to be a “dev” in order to reap the benefits of your technical skills. I hope you find something that combines your talents, passions and the web skills you’ve invested in.

not finding a Dev job is not really a reason to stop programming though

5 interviews over 1 month? Unless it's a big 4 company, that's a shitty recruitment system they have got. Don't let a company like that make a major life decision for you.

You can take the dev out of the ranter. But you can't take the ranter out of the dev. Translated it means keep coming back to this site. It's the only place I come to and feel normal. And the traits of compassion and empathy wh. are now useless in my life, continue to exist on this site.

LOLWUT? Five interviews?! Unless they pay fucking bloody well and at least 50% more than the rest, I would have laughed them off right at the beginning for daring to even propose such a procedure.
