so I've just made an experiment. Booted up my now dust-free PC w/ an old LMint 17.1 installation, opened up terminal, full-screened it and opened vim in edit mode.

Sat my 1.5 year old on my lap and gave him the keyboard.

10 minutes did not pass and the kid was back in the terminal!

so whenever you say VIM is hard to use -- SHAME ON YOU! My toddler learns faster than you do!

    Jk nano is fine if you like pressing control all the time. I'd get a foot pedal to use if I was using nano

    @Haxk20 maybe... Imo it's personal prefference. I for one would find it hard to work w/o autocompletion, auto-highlight current word, syntax highlight and multiple windows. I don't think nano has all that :)

    oh, and G/gg/25g/u/cw/r/A/w/b/ctrl+v -> arrow_down-> :s/^/#/g /y/p/dd

    @Haxk20 if YOU can work w/o them, it doesn't mean I and everyone else can :) you shouldn't make claims for everyone if it is only your preference ;) i'm refering to your previous comment

    @Condor good one 😁 though I don't think that would close vim immediately.

    Cover screen w/ errors - maybe. But I guess one would still have to reboot the box to get out of vim 😁

    @netikras now I feel kinda tempted to try it out in a disposable box 😂 which will win, the all-devouring rm or the inescapable vim? Ultimate showdown between the superpowers of Unix!!!
