Who's the dumbass that decided you can't delete your PayPal account at all unless your balance is $0?

I am not giving you my card information for the $0.18 balance I have. For God sakes, I don't even bend over to pick that up if I see it on the ground.

It's one thing if it were like $100 or even $10. But it's eighteen fucking cents. Not even a a quarter of a fucking dollar.

At least make me put in my password and answer a security question or some shit, not straight up remove the option to delete it.

Fucking ridiculous.

    To stop people from complaining they closed their account with money in it and will never get it back.

    It doesn't matter how many warnings you put up, prompts and confirmation screens you have to get through. Someone will complain either way.

    Send it to me, I'll gladly use it for 18c discount on my next Brazzers subscription :p

    I'm fixing to lose my shit lol

    I gave in and put my debit card info in to transfer the money and the fucking minimum is a $1.

    This is ridiculous.

    @M1sf3t is like $3.50 in pesos lol

    @M1sf3t I once talked to someone here on devRant from... I forget where. Some African country. A remote job here paying minimum wage (USD ~$8/hr) for one year would make him a millionaire (>2mil) in his local currency. He could buy a castle and live like a king. 😂

    Maybe you can donate it to some NGO

    @cafecortado I got on a chat with their customer service and that's exactly what they did.

    Transferred it then closed the account for me.

    @Root yeah, knowing that 1.000.000 ZAR (South African Rand) is like 61,8K Euros / 69K USD ... it doesn't really compare xD

    @Root thats honestly so weird, i always hear people complain that the wages here are too low but my monthly wage is about 6 months worth in india

    @xewl good investisment here
  • 2
    @lunorian there's a $1.50 fee for that.
  • 0
    @lunorian genuinely isn't worth the 18 cents lol

    Just send it to a random address or donate to a charity. You can also withdraw it to your bank account for free (at least in the UK).

    I already send such an low amount to my bank account. Wire transfer is such a practical thing.

    @620hun @stop I didn't want to give them my info lmao.

    Always put money into it using prepaid cards. Had no desire to let them have it now.

    @620hun They ended up giving it to a charity. Idk why I never thought about that, but I guess I thought there was a minimum transaction amount or something

    @Stuxnet the only way money would get from my bank account is an wiretransfer from it or an direct debit, which can be cancelled and retrieved 6 weeks after the direct debit request was handled.

    @xewl In Vietnam 1 000 000 VND is worth no more than 50$.

    1 million korean won are 663,6985 british pounds

    @Stuxnet 18 cents isn’t worth $1.5? I once got back in taxes a check for about 2 cents. It costed them like 1.5/2 dollars to even mail that. The person writing the check probably even coated more in salary than the worth of that check.

    @devs exactly.

    Even if it was free, the envelope, check and postage would have cost more than $0.18

    Wait... What? You don't deserve a rant. Read ToS next time before opening any account.
