If you invite me to a "lunch and learn" about company policies, and I have to bring my own lunch, well, that's just a meeting during my lunch, isn't it?

    If it was an invitation, I'd respectfully decline and ask them to email anything I missed lmao.

    @Stuxnet I am very tempted to skip.

    Me: "Sorry, something came up."
    My boss: "What came up?"
    Me: "Literally anything else."

    @jallman112 "My desire to have an actual break while enjoying my lunch came up."

    @Stuxnet "My need to take a walk came up"

    Whiney invite sender: "but twelve to one was the only time everybody was free! Except you, bahua. The calendar says you're busy every single day at noon. What are you doing?"
    Me, in my head: "having lunch."
    Me, out loud: "it's personal."

    @snaz Ooo! Excellent idea!

    I can pick something really stinky too, and not even eat it. Just let it sit there 😂
