No, node is not cross platform, v8 is cross platform

A lot of DevRant users hate a lot of things. Sort of part of the point of the app. I'd caution against drawing too many conclusions from that.

Not sure I'd want to base my tech strategy on "95% of DevRant users recommend Arch, so let's run with that".

Maybe we should. DevRant consulting group spin off. Everything we do is written in C++ on Arch using VIM. UI is command line, obviously. And we don't have any bastard project managers or architects. As users are all simpletons we can probably ignore them too.
