I've got startup ideas.
Not just ideas, but, I'm working on all of them.
Now I wanna leave my engineering...
And everybody is telling me not to.
Can I get a yes here?

I have them too, lots of them... when i crunch some numbers and possible demand... then i ditch them. My advice: be realistic

If you have money already to support yourself for the time needed to develop them and you have been realistic about it then go for it of course. But expect to fail and if it does it is all your fault, and if you can not get an equivalent job that you have now afterwards that will also be your fault, no one else's. This is key to striking out on your own. It is better to have the side projects fully developed before quitting as the risk will then be much lower and you could even have revenue before going full time. Your idea should scale with your success, that way you do not need to earn a certain amount to live and force your idea in a bad direction. Best of luck.
