It's *devs* that cause the under-evaluation in my experience. There's a mass culture of working for free (OSS). Only other group I can think of like that is artists---and look how poor they are---on average.

@platypus OSS is not there only for a dev to do free work. Except if your licensing with no copyleft rights. In that case, you deserve that.

@platypus All the devs i know personally, who contribute to good foss repos are paid much above market average. foss is something we should be proud of, something many other industries cannot boast of.
